Hi, I’m Charley Pearson — born and raised in New York City, and I truly love to teach chess. I’ve been playing for over a decade and continue to study and play daily.I competed in tournaments throughout high school and later played on the Fashion Institute of Technology chess team, competing against other colleges.I work with students of all ages and adapt my lessons to each person’s needs. My goal is not only to improve skills, but to share my passion so every student discovers a real love for the game. Whether you’re learning the basics or sharpening strategy, I’ll guide you step by step in a way that makes chess engaging, challenging, and fun.

Hi, I’m Charley 👋 I’m 21 and born and raised right here in New York City. I live with my girlfriend, work as a babysitter, and I’ve always loved working with kids.Chess has been a big part of my life for over 10 years — I’ve played in tournaments, studied daily, and it’s still my favorite hobby. What I enjoy most now is teaching it and helping kids (and adults) discover how fun and exciting the game can be.When I’m not playing chess, you’ll probably find me traveling, hiking, or into something fashion-related. I used to be signed as a model and even studied at FIT, but teaching and sharing my love of chess is what makes me happiest.
